FAQ

+ How does bouldering work?

Bouldering is climbing without ropes, over safety mats. Your goal is to climb from the start of a route to the finish.

  • Start and finish are marked by triangles attached to the wall.
  • The colour of the triangle indicates the difficulty of the route.
  • To start, put both hands on the start hold (note: there may be 2 start holds).
  • To climb a route, make sure to only touch holds of the same colour as the start hold.
  • You can also use "volumes". They are are included on all routes. Volumes are made from wood (like the walls) and have holes for holds on them.
  • To finish, match both hands on the finish hold.
  • When you are at the top, use the big downclimbing holds to get back down. Do not jump!

+ Are there any rules?

  1. No running in the climbing area.
  2. Do not stay seated or lying on the mats.
  3. Do not climb without climbing shoes. The Flux area is the only exception, you may wear normal sports shoes here.
  4. No climbing shoes in the bathrooms, changing rooms, or the cafe.
  5. No bottles or food in the climbing area.
